DRAFT — pending legal review
This document is a structured template. Section bodies below describe the intended content and are not final legal terms. Nothing on this page is legally binding until it has been reviewed and published as final.
These terms will govern the use of Slotwatt by drivers and hosts. The structure below shows what the final document will cover.
01Service description
[Placeholder] This section will describe what Slotwatt provides: a marketplace and transaction platform connecting EV drivers with charger hosts, including discovery, reservations, charging sessions, payment processing, and host payouts.
[Placeholder] It will state what Slotwatt is not — including that Slotwatt does not own or operate hosts’ chargers and does not supply electricity itself.
02Accounts
[Placeholder] This section will cover account creation, eligibility (including minimum age), accuracy of registration details, and responsibility for account security.
[Placeholder] It will explain that driver and host are roles on a single account, and the conditions under which accounts may be suspended or closed.
03Driver terms
[Placeholder] This section will set out drivers’ obligations when holding, reserving, and using chargers: arriving within holds and slots, following hosts’ access instructions, and using equipment responsibly.
[Placeholder] It will describe how prices are displayed before commitment and how session costs are calculated from delivered energy.
04Host terms
[Placeholder] This section will set out hosts’ obligations: providing accurate listing information, maintaining safe and lawful charging equipment, honouring confirmed reservations, and setting prices in good faith.
[Placeholder] It will cover hosts’ responsibility for the legal and electrical compliance of their installation, and identity/business verification requirements for receiving payouts.
05Payments
[Placeholder] This section will describe how payment methods are saved and how payment is secured before charging starts, how the final amount is calculated and captured after a session, and how unused authorisations are released.
[Placeholder] It will describe the commission on host earnings, how any applicable fees are disclosed before commitment, and how payouts to hosts are made.
06Cancellations and no-shows
[Placeholder] This section will define cancellation windows for drivers and hosts, what happens when a hold expires or a reservation lapses, and how any cancellation or no-show fees are disclosed and applied.
[Placeholder] It will cover reservations that cannot be fulfilled — for example a charger fault — and the corresponding refund or rebooking handling.
07Liability
[Placeholder] This section will set out the limitations of Slotwatt’s liability, the allocation of responsibility between Slotwatt, hosts, and drivers, and any statutory rights that remain unaffected.
[Placeholder] It will address damage to vehicles, chargers, and property, and the process for reporting incidents.
08Governing law
[Placeholder] This section will state the governing law and jurisdiction for these terms, and how disputes are to be raised and resolved, including any applicable consumer dispute resolution mechanisms.
